Qualifications : JP, BCom, University of Canterbury, LLB (Hons), University of Waikato, AAMINZ.

Michelle is a Senior Associate based in our Rotorua office. In addition to her experience working in a large regional law firm, Michelle also worked for the Ministry of Justice where she was a Disputes Tribunal Referee.

Michelle has specific expertise in employment law, immigration issues and ACC review. She has a particular interest in the cross over between employment and immigration law. She acts on a wide range of employment and immigration matters including advising employers and employees on employment matters, appearing in the Employment Relations Authority, assisting with immigration applications, taking appeals to the Immigration and Protection Tribunal and acting for ACC clients in reviews against ACC decisions. She also provides independent mediation and employment investigation services.

Michelle provides sensible, accessible advice and support to resolve a wide range of employment, immigration and ACC matters.  Michelle is an Associate of the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand and an appointed member of the Mediation Panel. She has given regular presentations and training sessions on ethics and privilege in mediation to AMINZ members and as a guest lecturer at Waikato University.
