Qualifications : LLB, University of Canterbury.

Marcus has practised law in Wellington, London and Tauranga for over thirty years. He specialises in advising business owners and entrepreneurs in the SME sector as well as larger corporates, social enterprises and start-up ventures. Marcus has particular expertise in contract law, company law, agri-business and horticulture, succession planning, the aged care sector (including retirement villages), and complex property and business transactions.

Marcus grew up on a farm east of Te Puke and although his hands no longer reflect his rural upbringing, he still has an affinity for the land, agribusiness, horticulture and land-based businesses. He is particularly knowledgeable about the kiwifruit industry and acts for kiwifruit growers, post-harvest operators and other industry players. He also understands first-hand the difficulties families face in passing on farms and property to the next generation and enjoys helping a family reach a point where they are in a position to plan and set up structures for the future.
