Laura is a senior associate in our dispute resolution team who specialises in relationship property, trust, and estate matters. Since moving to Tauranga in 2019, her work has focused on disputes that arise over the division of estate matters, dealing with trusts and trust assets, and the issues that come out of dividing relationship property. She has experience in guiding clients through stressful and challenging circumstances while unravelling complex legal questions.

Prior to that, Laura lived in Christchurch and worked at a boutique litigation firm and a national law firm in the midst of the earthquake recovery. She was involved in a range of group actions, as well as acting for individuals and businesses, gaining an extensive civil litigation experience.

She has acted for individuals, professionals, companies, trusts, and government departments. Laura has appeared in the Family Court, District Court and High Court, and as junior counsel in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. She has also appeared in professional disciplinary tribunals.

By keeping her focus on how to best achieve a solution for her client, Laura gives practical, real-world advice so clients can weigh up their options to make decisions. She is a skilled negotiator and litigator who is experienced in using the Court process and alternative dispute resolution methods to get results for her clients
